Ana Filipa Ferreira

Ana Ferreira is a researcher at IDMEC, Department of Mechanical Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), University of Lisbon, in ​​Energy and Fluid Mechanics area. Degree in Chemistry, PhD in Environmental Engineering and Post-Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering, where she specialized in the area of ​​ life cycle analysis and sustainability, circular economy, biomass valorization, conversion processes, hydrogen and biofuels.
She has supervised more than 25 MSc. She was invited to be a judge on more than 28 master's theses. She is Invited Assistant Professor of the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering at IST since September 2021 and was Invited Assistant Professor from 2016 to 2018. In 2012 she was awarded third place in the YEAR 2012 young European researchers’ competition. In 2017, she received an honorable mention within the scope of the Scientific Awards ULisboa / Santander Universities.
Her main research interests include sustainability and circular economy; environment, economic and social impacts; biomass valorization; conversion technologies; Hydrogen and biofuels production and usage; energy and environment (emissions); and education area.
